1. dream. Each project begins with a housecall, where we learn of your immediate (and future) needs, your desires and your style. We will discuss your ideas, expectations and budget. To make sure we get it right every time, we send over a questionnaire in advance that gives you an opportunity to jot down your thoughts while giving us invaluable information for our design process.
2. Visualize.Based on our initial meeting, we create inspiration boards for each room that articulates our vision for your space. This custom visual map will clearly define your style, suggest a palette and include imagery of textiles, furniture, lighting and accessories that fit your budget. Once approved, we use this map to guide us on our journey together.
3. Plan.Elevation sketches and scaled floor plans are presented for each room. These drawings will specify furniture layout, lighting schematics, art & accessory placement, and call-out the application of color and pattern. Plans include sketches of all custom work from furniture and drapery fabrication to murals and artwork. Once plans are approved, a detailed inventory list is provided for each room that includes estimated prices for all new purchases, repairs or updates to existing pieces and custom fabrication. You will then receive an estimated project timeline that explains how long the project will take. This planning step produces documents that will give you a clear vision of the final product and sound expectations of cost and time.
4. Create.Your project gets underway under the very careful direction and management of our two-person team, offering inspirational design and professional project management. We will keep you well-informaed throughout the job with our detailed weekly Project Status Reports. These reports quell stress by allowing you to know where we are in the process, how much has been spent and what the next steps are, while also keeping you informed of upcoming expenditures and approvals expected.
